We have museums Old Market is a family friendly historic dining and shopping district. You could walk over the new pedestrian bridge. Heartland of America Park is a neat place where you cam take gondola rides have a picnic etc. The Strategic Air and Space Museum is in the metro area and it is your average airplanespacecraft museum and kids love it.
Mahoney State park is right next to the museum and you can do many things there including take in the view from the scenic overlook which is perched high above the Platte River Valley. I know theres more things and I highly encourage you to visit Omaha. People dont usually recognize us as a tourist destination but we really do have plenty to offer.
